Information we collect

ORB1TAL does not require users to create an account.

We do not ask users to provide personal information such as:

• email address
• phone number
• postal address
• contacts
• photos
• videos
• microphone recordings
• precise location
• payment information

Local game data

ORB1TAL may store gameplay and progression data locally on your device in order to provide game features.

This may include:

• scores
• best runs
• Dust
• Aureals
• XP
• unlocked items and collections
• Awards/achievements
• settings
• language preferences
• profile progress
• gameplay and career statistics
• selected avatar, ship, trail and theme
• local player preferences

This data normally remains on your device and is used to provide gameplay functionality. Malakaay Studios does not receive the player's complete local progression on its own servers, except for the specific information required for the online features described below.

Online leaderboards

ORB1TAL includes online leaderboard features operated by Malakaay Studios through backend infrastructure hosted on Cloudflare.

When leaderboard or Daily Voyage features are used, the app may send gameplay-related data to our backend in order to publish rankings, show player positions, maintain fair competition and protect the service from abuse.

Leaderboard and Daily Voyage data may include:

• an internal pseudonymous player identifier
• a pseudonymous authentication token used to protect access to the online service
• a public callsign/display name generated by the system
• a player tag generated by the backend
• the equipped avatar identifier
• the ship used
• score
• distance travelled
• planets captured
• sector reached
• maximum combo
• run duration
• competitive category, such as Pure or Assisted
• leaderboard or Daily Voyage identifiers
• technical gameplay metadata required to validate results, prevent abuse and maintain fair competition
• technical timestamps used to order, display and audit entries

Leaderboard entries may be visible to other players inside the app.

Public leaderboard information may include:

• rank
• display name
• player tag
• avatar
• ship
• score
• distance
• planets captured
• sector reached
• combo
• duration
• leaderboard category
• leaderboard or Daily Voyage period

The leaderboard does not require users to provide their real name, email address, phone number or Google account.

The public callsign/display name is generated by the system and should not be treated as the player's real identity.

Technical data and server logs

Our backend infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, may process technical request information for security, diagnostics, abuse prevention and service operation.

This may include:

• IP address
• User-Agent
• request timestamps
• basic technical logs
• rate limit or anti-abuse information

This information is used to operate the service, protect the leaderboard from abuse, diagnose technical issues and maintain fair play.

Advertising

ORB1TAL may display advertisements using Google AdMob.

Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) may be used to collect and manage consent choices where required.

AdMob may collect and process certain data depending on your device settings, consent choices and Google's advertising services.

This may include:

• IP address
• advertising identifiers
• device information
• app activity related to ads
• diagnostics
• crash information
• approximate location

This data may be used for purposes such as:

• showing ads
• measuring ad performance
• fraud prevention
• security
• service operation
• compliance with legal obligations

Where required, users may be shown a consent form before personalized ads are displayed.

This processing may be required for advertising, consent management, app distribution, backend hosting, leaderboard functionality, security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, service operation or legal compliance.

Leaderboard entries are visible to other players inside the app as part of the ranking feature. We do not share leaderboard data with third parties for sale or unrelated marketing purposes.

Children

ORB1TAL is not specifically directed to children.

The game is intended for a general audience aged 13 or older.

Data retention and deletion

ORB1TAL does not currently create user accounts.

Local gameplay data remains on the user's device unless the user deletes it.

Users can delete local gameplay data by:

• clearing the app data from Android system settings
• uninstalling the app from the device

Leaderboard data may be stored on Malakaay Studios' backend in order to provide rankings, preserve records, prevent abuse and maintain fair competition.

Online leaderboard and Daily Voyage data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide rankings and competitive records, maintain service security, prevent abuse, resolve technical issues or comply with applicable legal obligations.

To help us locate the leaderboard entry, users should include any available information shown in the app, such as:

• display name
• player tag
• player identifier, if visible
• approximate date of the leaderboard entry

Data processed by third-party services is handled according to the privacy practices and retention policies of those services.

Security

ORB1TAL is designed to avoid collecting unnecessary personal information.

Where data is transmitted to third-party services or backend infrastructure, it may be transmitted using secure connections according to the security practices of those services.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect leaderboard functionality, prevent abuse and operate the service securely.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
