ORB1TAL — Data Deletion Request

ORB1TAL does not require users to create an account. The Android and HTML5 editions store most progression locally, while leaderboards and Daily Voyage may store pseudonymous gameplay records in ORB1TAL online services.

The Android and HTML5 online services are currently independent, so please identify the relevant platform when requesting deletion of online records.

How to request deletion of online data

Useful non-sensitive information for locating the correct records includes:

• public callsign / display name;
• player tag;
• platform: Android or HTML5 / itch.io;
• leaderboard or Daily Voyage type/period;
• approximate date of the relevant activity; and
• player identifier only if it is visibly shown to you in the game.

Do not email passwords, technical authentication tokens, internal secrets, Google account credentials or other sensitive authentication information.

Before deleting online records, Malakaay Studios may perform reasonable checks using non-sensitive information to reduce the risk of fraudulent requests to delete another player's records. We do not promise automatic identification where the available information is insufficient.

Android — local data

Local ORB1TAL data on Android may include progression, XP, Dust, Áureals, Reactor state, unlocks, Awards, settings, collections and gameplay statistics.

Depending on the version and device, local data can be removed by using any available in-game local reset option, clearing ORB1TAL app data in Android system settings, or uninstalling ORB1TAL.

An email deletion request does not remove local data from your Android device.

itch.io / HTML5 — browser data

The HTML5 edition stores progression and preferences in browser storage. To remove it, use your browser's site-data/storage settings to locate and clear the data associated with the ORB1TAL itch.io page and the game content. The exact menu and storage entry vary by browser.

Clearing this storage may permanently delete local progression. Changing browser/device or using certain private modes may also make local saves unavailable.

Deleting browser storage does not guarantee deletion of leaderboard or Daily Voyage records that were previously submitted online.

Online data that may be deleted

Where the records can be reasonably identified, a request may cover ORB1TAL online records controlled by Malakaay Studios, including:

• leaderboard entries and Daily Voyage entries;
• pseudonymous player identifiers associated with those records;
• generated callsign/display name and player tag associated with those records;
• avatar and ship identifiers stored with competitive entries;
• score, distance, planets captured, sector, combo and duration;
• Pure/Assisted category;
• gameplay metadata linked to the relevant competitive records; and
• related timestamps.

Because Android and HTML5 currently use independent online services, deletion on one platform does not automatically identify or delete records on the other platform.

Data that may be retained

Limited information may need to be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud or abuse prevention, competitive integrity, technical incident or dispute resolution, or applicable legal obligations. No fixed retention period is promised where one has not been technically established.

Third-party services

Google Play, Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform (UMP), Cloudflare and itch.io may independently process information in connection with the platform or service in which they are used.

A request sent to Malakaay Studios applies to data that Malakaay Studios can reasonably identify and control within ORB1TAL's own online services. Data independently processed by third parties is subject to their own privacy, retention and deletion practices.
